How One Retailer Created a Special Promotion to Reward Shoppers with Fudge

Frequent buyer cards prompt sales

In our shop, fudge is the item with the highest profit margin. We started a frequent buyer card, allowing anyone who spends $100 (all merchandise in the shop is included) to get a free pound of fudge.

Punches are made on the card in $5 increments and people treat this card as if it were gold.

Because I am so profitable, it’s easy to give away a pound of fudge. That’s really neat. Customers will purchase other items in the store in order to get that free pound of fudge. It all adds up to fudge. Everything adds up to fudge!
